TNT Racing Finishes 4th in Inaugural NEO Season
TNT Racing can put another feather in its cap as the NEO Endurance series came to a close with the 24 Hours of Lemans. Bobby Tinsey, Benjamin Lindsay, Billy Smith, Paul Darling, and Scott McIntyre combined with a stellar performance reaching as high as 2nd position for the majority of the race, only to have a late-race setback relegating the team to 5th at the checkered.
Early pit strategy postured the team to knife through traffic effectively, achieving P3 by the 3rd hour. From there, stability and safe driving pushed the team up to 2nd, where they hovered for the next 15 hours. A late race incident occured with 9 minutes to go as the oversteering HPD broke loose in turn 6, with only the wall to greet the driver. With required repairs, the TNT Racing HPD was required to pit and hold, dropping the team from 3rd to 5th at the line. TNT Racing had the fastest overall lap and incredible pace on the day, good enough for a better result, but with the struggles of other teams and steady driving, TNT was able to stay near the front for the majority of the race.
